Website: Hydrodynamics
Okay, prepare to go down under . . .
Here is a site that you need to check out:
hydro/hydro.htm>
The site is entitled, simply enough, “Hydrodynamics.”
And is all about, you guessed it, the hydrodynamics of
different objects as they pass through water.
This site is the project of Leo Lazauskas, who works
at the Department of Applied Mathematics, University.
of Adelaide, South Australia.
The rowing stuff is pretty neat. I especially
recommend the “Rowing Shell Drag Comparisons” page,
which is almost like a Consumers Report of rowing
hulls.
If you want a little variety, check out the
“Submarine” page. Some cool stuff there, and worth the
visit if you don’t mind getting wet.
